Kobi Cooper
Kobi moved to Jerusalem from the States in 1994 in order to jump out of planes for a living. A fear of heights left him grounded though it dropped him in the Old City of Jerusalem for a year and a half running educational seminars for the army after which he began his world tour. He has worked in four countries, attended university in five, lived in seven and traveled to almost forty. Along the way he picked up a degree in Middle Eastern and African Studies, a high-school fan club in Japan, judged an African fashion show, taught in a Jewish school in Colombia and somehow survived typhoons, earthquakes, volcanoes, tornados, hurricanes, typhoid fever, Turkish prisons and Bangkok nights, until he finally realized that he was happiest (and safest) when he was living and guiding here in Israel. Plus he has seen plenty of guides in action all over the world – and (hopefully) has a good sense of what makes a great one.
