ריצ'ל סמית'

Rachel Smith was born in London, England and has worked in informal education for more than 18 years. Following a BA in Education, MA in Religious Education and 3 years experience of both teaching in a Jewish High School and taking the position of Director of Informal Education, Rachel moved to Israel. Since her Aliya in 2005, Rachel has continued to work in the sphere of informal education, lecturing students on long term programmes in Israel, as well as adult education courses, on Jewish History, Zionism, Bible and Leadership theory and practical skills. Through the Jewish Agency Rachel was sent on shlichut (emissary work) to South Africa, Canada and Australia to educate about Jewish identity and Israel and she has also been involved in the training of future shlichim. Rachel has guided a wide range of audiences in Israel from High Schools to Pensioners, families to Federation trips, Wexner Fellows to even a rock band (Linkin Park)! In 2014 she was awarded the J.J. Greenberg prize of excellence by Taglit-Birthright Israel. Rachel is committed to giving an energetic and enthusiastic educational journey around Israel and looks forward to working with you soon!
